I feel like I’ve had variations of this conversation over the last few days. All the “hard” classes are put off for the summer until a student realizes that they’ve eliminated nearly all of their options for the spring by doing so. I don’t know why everyone thinks summer classes will be easier… I suppose it does matter where they are taken. I just don’t think many people consider that you’re essentially cramming 16 weeks of content into 3-8 weeks. Although, I’m sure advisors everywhere would get a good laugh when the excessive hours petition for 18 summer credit hours hits their desk…. or at least a good cry.
