For anyone who isn’t an academic advisor, this essentially captures what it feels like sometimes. Then again I’m sure a lot of instructors feel like students never listen to them either. Now that I think about it, maybe nobody actually listens to anybody. Regardless, it doesn’t matter how many different ways I say it, students always asks whether they should put a course on their schedule that they know they already have credit for. I’m not sure if it’s just the fear of making a mistake on their first college schedule or what, but I can pretty much guarantee that I’ll get this question during our next day of summer enrollment. And then two seconds later someone will ask practically the same question, completely oblivious that their question had been answer just moments before. You have to love freshmen enrollment.
