Lawnmower Parents

I read an article about “lawnmower parents” a couple of years ago but never got around to making a comic about it until now. Unfortunately I’ve already encountered my first lawnmower parent for the summer, and I’m sure it won’t be my last. But the next time one gets you down, just imagine the student being pulled in a little red wagon by a riding lawn mower. It will at least bring a (temporary) smile to your face.

I have actually experienced a couple of these parents here on the graduate level!!! I assumed that sort of behavior would stop at a certain point but I was wrong!!!!!

Lawn mowing tips for a lawn that has been neglected are different than the tips you need for a well cared for patch of grass. An overgrown yard means a lot more work. Before you start to mow, you have to scour the area for large rocks and branches or twigs. Any debris must be gone before you can move or it could injure either you or someone else, or will destroy your mower.
